Safety & Security Procedures

Security & Police Presence 

Private security is utilized at security checkpoints and throughout the Flint Battle of the Bands event venue. Police presence is utilized outside, in the parking lot and the surrounding area of the Flint Battle of the Bands event venue. 

Security Checkpoints 

Security checkpoints are enabled to ensure the safety of performers, staff, guests and all present at the Flint Battle of the Bands event. 

Cashless Environment 

The Flint Battle of the Bands events are operated in a cashless environment. Card payments will be required at all ticket, food, beverage and retail locations. No cash payments will be accepted. 

Clear Bag Policy 

Flint Battle of the Bands Clear Bag Policy strictly limits the size and types of bags that are permitted. Backpacks, purses and diaper bags are not permitted. We strongly encourage attendant to NOT bring any bags, however the following is permitted and are subject to search: 

One bag per attendant. 

A clear plastic, vinyl or pvc bag 12” x 6”x 12” or smaller. 

A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar). 

A small clutch purse 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a hand) or smaller, with or without a handle or strap. 

Exceptions may be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the designated checkpoint prior to admittance. Please advise security staff of medically necessary items prior to security scan. 

There are no exceptions to check non-approved bags/items prior to admittance. Attendants must return non-approved bags/items to their vehicle or dispose of prohibited items prior to admittance. Flint Battle of the Bands are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. 

Prohibited Items  

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: Audio/video recorders or similar devices, professional camera equipment or lenses over 12” in length, laser pointers, weapons/firearms, air horns/whistles or other noisemakers, sealed packages of any kind, bottles or cans, coolers or containers, fireworks, inflatable objects, outside food or beverage (except for medical reasons). Remote controlled vehicles, including cars and unmanned aircraft (drones) are prohibited. 

Disorderly Conduct 

Guests that are not complying with event policies, local, state and federal laws are subject to ejection. All guests must abide by the facility and governing regulations. Any guests creating a nuisance, disturbance or interruption for other guests shall be warned first to correct behavior. Recurring disorderly conduct shall be cause for ejection from the event.

Emergency Evacuation Procedures 

All staff is properly trained in all emergency preparedness procedures. Designated team members have the primary duty of assisting and directing guests to specific evacuation locations.
